Proof of what you sent

Every upload is entered in a register with the time it arrived and a digital fingerprint of each file, and you are emailed a receipt with both. The fingerprint matches your exact file and nothing else, so if anyone ever claims your story as theirs, the receipt shows what you sent and when. While this is not a copyright registration, the record of submission may help you establish a timeline in a copyright ownership dispute.

Also keep a copy of my files offline with the register, so the files themselves can be produced if it ever comes to that.
