Description
Some problems cannot be fixed by a report. The funding application is due in three weeks and it does not hold together. The shoot starts Monday and act three still does not work. The financier has asked a question nobody in the room can answer.
DEVCON 3 puts me in the room for three full days, with the people who actually make the decisions. We work on the real problem, in front of each other, and we do not leave it in a document for someone to read next week. Whatever can be solved in three days gets solved in three days. What cannot gets named plainly, with a plan attached and somebody’s name on it.
Development, at alert level. By the time most people call, that is where the project already is.
Send everything a week ahead so the first morning starts with work rather than with reading. Days run consecutively and are booked to your date.

Book early. Three consecutive days is a large piece of anyone’s calendar, and the dates closest to funding rounds and production start dates go first. Travel and accommodation outside Sydney are quoted on top of the fee.
